A Very Hygge New Year

Hello! My name is Shannon Taylor and I’m a mom of four, originally from Minnesota and now living in Maryland. I "published" my first newsletter when I was nine, and since then, I’ve written and edited for magazines, websites, and textbooks. I started this blog when my kids were small to reflect on life, share ideas, and preserve memories. Now that my children are grown, I continue to use this space to document meaningful moments and practical ideas.

I shared our Advent Box family questionnaire and my parents and Grandma Marilyn printed out copies and filled them in. Such a treasure! I love this special memory of Grandma`s: "When I was little my dad took all of us in our old car for a ride up Summit Ave to see all the Christmas lights." That was back in the 1930s, and it`s still a favorite family tradition today. ❤️

Grandma`s 96 and doing beautifully, but I`m so glad we captured some of her favorite memories and traditions. THE ADVENT BOX didn`t make her list as "favorite Christmas book," but my fruitcake got a mention. 😂 If you want to print out copies for your family or friends, the link to "A Mom`s Year" is in the bio.
