This video made me cry. Granted, I cry ridiculously easily. (Really, is there anything sadder than sobbing behind 3-D glasses at the end of Toy Story 3?) But something about this short video touched a nerve.
I want to be just like the young woman who helps the blind man. I don’t want to give away the ending, but let’s just say that this little gem has meaning on more than one level. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Spotted on The Bedlam of Beefy.

Good to know that I am not the only one that cried at the end of Toy Story 3 so with that said my tears are shared with you on this one also! Such a powerful message about the difference we can make with our words. Thank you for sharing!

Angie, that doesn’t surprise me at all! I love what the girl wrote, but I also think I reacted so strongly because the idea of not seeing that it’s a beautiful day, for whatever reason, is so sad. And so I resolved, once again, to be more grateful and appreciative for the blessings in my life and not let the negative stuff get me down.

Amazing… Such a reminder that there are so many ways, so many kind ways to say things, see the world, or help people around us. I guess one of the points that I have to make is in watching the video I did not see her give any money and I was inspired that even when you can’t financially help out someone in need, there are things we can all do. Even if it’s only a smile and a kind word. 🙂
And of course it’s okay to cry during toy story. Emotion is what makes us human and kind. 🙂

Such a good point, Codie. There are so many ways to help; the important thing is to jump in and do something.
